Scholarship Application
Established to provide financial assistance to returning students seeking a women's studies certificate at UW-L.
Crteria is listed in order of importance:
- Recipient must have completed 9 credits of the 15 required
to certify in women's studies;
- Recipient is available for females only, and that preference
should be given, but not restricted, to returning female students
(currently defined in the campus Catalog as those individuals
who are 25 years of age or older;
- Recipient may be a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior,
graduate non-degree, or special student;
- Full time status is not required for this scholarship;
- Must have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative grade point average
at UW-L as well as a 3.0 grade point average in the courses
completed in women's studies. This grade point average requirement
can be waived for special circumstances if the selection committee
so desires;
- Recipient must write an essay stating her personal feminist
philosophy-essay must be typewritten; and
- Financial need should be a consideration.
